Meet the Designer and her Story
For a long time, I hesitated to follow my passion to become a jewellery designer.
I knew it was what I loved, but fear held me back. I found endless excuses—lack of money, wrong timing, others telling me it was impossible to make a living from creative work. I convinced myself to avoid what I truly desired and kept myself far from my dreams.
It took years to realise that without creative work, I would never be truly satisfied. After battling between what I should do and what I truly wanted to do, I finally decided enough was enough. I had to take action and follow my passion. The fear of running out of time gave me the final push.
And so, I launched Simbollist. Every day, I remind myself how rewarding that decision was.
I always wear jewellery as symbols for something deeper
I’ve always worn jewellery, but it wasn’t until recently that I truly started seeing it as a symbol for something deeper. For years, I wore pieces just because they looked nice. But everything changed when I overcame health struggles and began to feel a new sense of self-confidence. Now, I always wear jewellery as symbols for something deeper.
To celebrate this, I bought a pair of gold-plated earrings shaped like a sun, with a tiny crystal at the centre. They symbolised my newfound confidence and the ease I felt in my life. Those earrings became a powerful reminder of my journey.
That’s when I realised: jewellery is more than just an accessory. It can hold personal meaning, help us express our emotions, and celebrate our achievements. When a piece has a special meaning, it becomes timeless—something to cherish and admire again and again.
